About B2

About Us

B2 Aviation is an aircraft management and charter company that combines the best practices from the two major private aviation solution types. By doing so, we are able to give our customers a unique level of efficiency, flexibility and stability that is sacrificed elsewhere. Our program aircraft is the Pilatus PC-12 which has a proven track record in each of the three arenas that set B2 Aviation apart. The focus is to become the leader within the Midwest region for personal and business travel; for executives and high net worth individuals.

Partnering with the best of the industry allows our team to collectively focus on our strengths and stimulate creativity for our customer’s travel experience. Our philosophy is that customers should have access to the same standards as that of the world’s finest flight departments regardless of product and travel frequency. B2 Aviation customers appreciate the attention to detail it takes to be the best in maintenance, operation and service.

Bill Payne

Bill Payne has always had an affinity for anything with a motor.  “Like a lot of people in the aviation industry, I basically fell into it,” he said.  And once he was exposed to flying, he refused to leave.  “One of my best attributes is my unrelenting drive to be successful once I put my mind to something.”

Aviation is a fitting passion for someone who likes to be in control of his own destiny. Bit by the entrepreneurial bug at a young age, Bill became an owner/operator of a large food distribution company which tripled its revenue during his leadership.  “I love the fact that you really do get out what you put into any business,” he added.

For years, Bill has excelled as a top performer. By coupling his love for aviation and sales performance, he will strive to deliver unparalleled customer service and the most competitive prices in the industry in order to create the best experience for B2 Aviation’s customers.

Bernie Burns

Like many aviation enthusiasts, Bernie found a passion for aviation early in life.  "Growing up in New Jersey, I lived underneath Newark Airport's flight path which was the busiest airport in the world at the time.  I quickly realized that I would eventually have to find out how those 100 ton machines soared through the air."

Obsessed by the desire to bring his childhood dreams to fruition, he attended Jacksonville University where he would gain all of his pilot certificates.  Upon graduation, most followed the path of the airlines.  Instead, Bernie chose the path less traveled and pursued a career in private aviation.  Prior to launching B2 Aviation, Burns held management and executive positions with CitationAir by Cessna, Flexjet by Bombardier and even polished his culinary skills all in Chicago.  Bernie offers a wealth of knowledge to the team on the dynamic landscape of private air travel.
